GORDON CYR

CEO

With 50+ years of experience in the exploration and drilling industries, Gordon is a subject matter expert on both surface and underground field operations. Gordon has established, led and continually expanded Cyr Drilling over the past 16 years to meet the growing needs of clients on a domestic and international scale. Gordon served as President of Midwest Drilling for nine years (1988 – 1997) until it was sold; he developed it into one of Canada’s most highly recognized drilling firms. He also held the roles of Regional Manager and General Manager for Major Drilling from 1997 – 2003.

GREG CYR

President

Greg has gained 35 years experience in the drilling industry in Canada and internationally, including Greenland, Australia, Alaska, California, Nevada, Mexico, Mongolia, China, Finland, Portugal, Guyana, and Sweden. Rising through the ranks at Midwest Drilling as a Helper, Driller and Foreman at Midwest Drilling from 1988 – 1995 and advancing from Foreman to Field Superintendent at Midwest Drilling from 1995 – 2003, he was well-prepared for his role as Field Superintendent at Cyr Drilling International in 2004. He progressed to Manager of Operations in 2008 and currently oversees client relations, project and logistics coordination, human resource management, strategic planning, health and safety, and regulatory affairs to ensure smooth company operations. Greg currently holds the position of Vice-President of Cyr Drilling International Ltd.

TODD CYR

Vice President

Todd has been involved in the drilling industry for 29 years. He commenced as a Driller/Crew Trainer for five years with Cyr Drilling International and progressed to Foreman and Project Manager from 2011 – Present; overseeing site operations and crew member training on diamond drilling and safety operations. Todd has worked in Canada, Greenland, China, Finland, Portugal, Mongolia, Chile, and Guyana. His prior career as Driller and Helper at Midwest Drilling and Driller at Major Drilling from 1991 – 2004 honed his knowledge and skills in the industry to become a talented mentor and leader to crews.

WALT THOMSON

Contracts Manager

Walt graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Marketing and later acquired 32 years practical experience in the exploration industry. From 1988 to 1991, he commenced his career as a Downhole Logger in what is now known as AREVA McClean Lake Mine. He progressed from 1991 – 1993 with EI Condor Resources and Hunter Dickenson Group as the Site and Logistics Administrator for the Kemess Mine. From 1993 – 1997 he worked as a Project and Logistics Manager for Canamera Geological in NWT during the diamond rush. From 1997 – 2005 he was employed with Midwest Drilling as Contracts Administrator and NWT and Nunavut Area Manager and joined Cyr Drilling International Ltd. as Contracts Manager in 2005.

CHAD BOZAK

Operations Manager

Chad started his Diamond Drilling career in 2005 as a driller’s helper. In 2013 he started with MBI Global as the technical field representative of Western Canada and then moving to Saskatoon in 2015 as the Regional Manager of Central Canada. Chad joined Major Drilling as the Canadian Recruitment Manager before joining the Cyr Drilling team in 2021 as the Operations Manager. Chad has 17 years in the industry and has been involved in many areas of the industry such as field work, technical advice/service, distribution & sales, recruitment & operations. Chad leads the recruitment and selection of all field personnel, coordinates crew movements for new and existing contracts and all other daily operational duties.

WANDA DELLER

Administrative & Human Resources Manager

Wanda specializes in human resources and administrative management within the mineral exploration industry and plays a vital role to the Cyr Drilling team. Wanda processes payroll, bonus and accounts receivable whilst also assisting with the movement of personnel for new and existing contracts. In additional Wanda configures and administers the Sitedoc application for the Safety and Administrative departments for tracking of equipment and administrative field reporting. Wanda has 40 years’ experience in the industry and collaborates daily on operations and projects as part of the operations and administrative team. Wanda also held the role of Time & Billing Coordinator and Trainer with Major Drilling from 1995 to 2006 and 1983 to 1995 with Midwest Drilling in accounting and administration.

ROGER HARDMAN

Controller, CPA, CGA

Roger is a Certified Public Accountant with a progressive career in the accounting field with public and multinational companies including 25 years of Senior Management experience in CFO/Controller roles, including 14 years direct mining experience.

CHRIS BERTRAND

Shipper / Receiver

Chris has gained 15 years in the drilling industry which include the position of Drill Helper from 2008 to 2018 within the Canadian operations including Yukon, BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Nunavut. Chris’s role was changed to Shipper / Receiver in October 2018 with duties that include but are not limited to purchasing and shipping of orders for existing contracts and new contracts in the field for both Canadian and US operations.
