Cyr Drilling International makes charitable contribution to Education Beyond Borders

Vancouver, British Columbia, May 10, 2010 - Today, Gordon Cyr, president of Cyr Drilling International announced the company will be contributing 50 cents for every metre drilled on mineral exploration projects to Education Beyond Borders, a not-for-profit organization closing the global education divide through teacher professional development and community education.

“Teachers play a pivotal role in preparing our youth for the future, and through the support provided by organizations such as Education Beyond Borders, teachers gain access to valuable educational resources and peer support in developing countries,” says Cyr.

“We are grateful for the generous contribution from Cyr Drilling International. These funds will help us to continue our international initiatives and expand our reach to teachers in need, sustain the projects we have underway and help us build capacity,” says Noble Kelly, president and director of Education Beyond Borders. “We are enthused by Cyr Drilling International’s commitment to education both here in Canada and around the world."
